Mad About Dog currently have opportunities for groomer's to join us on a ‘rent-a-table’ basis. This is an ideal opportunity to operate your business from a fully equipped dog grooming salon with other self-employed groomers. You can use the facilities on a full or part time basis.
 

About Mad About Dog

Our salon is located at Marlpit Farm in Boughton Monchelsea on the outskirts of Maidstone. This location has the provision for plenty of free parking and is suitably placed for local clients to visit. The salon is currently equipped with 3 electric grooming tables, 1 electric bath, 1 free-standing bath, 1 drying cabinet, standing dryer's and blasters. We also have a fully stocked retail store and reception area for welcoming clients. Marlpit farm also host's various other businesses on site including the Maidstone Art Centre.
 

About you

A suitable candidate for this opportunity will have;

• Your own customer base.

• Provide your own public liability insurance.

• Be equipped with all your own tools (blades, clippers, scissors etc.)

• Have experience running your own dog grooming business.

• Hold a recognised professional Dog Grooming qualification.

• Ensure the salon is kept in a clean and tidy (cleaning products provided).
   

What we provide​

• Full use of grooming tables, baths dryers, blasters and drying cabinet.

• Use of our standard range of shampoos, conditioners, sprays, towels, and laundry facilities.

• Use of restraints, harnesses, holding cages & small kitchen area.

• Internet access via our WIFI.

• All power, heating, light, and water. 

• A safe, clean, modern and fun grooming environment.

• Collaborate, share ideas and just talk all things 'Grooming' with other like minded Groomers.

• Safety in numbers......there's always someone on-hand to help with those big or awkward customers ! We are a small friendly team and are always on hand to assist throughout the day.

• Up to 20% discount on all retail products.

 

On occasions where existing groomers are fully booked we may be able to provide you with new clients.
 

Costs

There are two options available:

1. Percentage fee based on your sales.

2. Fixed rental rates (daily, morning or afternoon sessions available)
